On Thursday December 1, 2016, the Asian American Student Association (AASA) hosted their annual philanthropy event called Holiday Head Start. It provides a Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas presents to underprivileged children and their families in the Norman community. Being on the Holiday Head Start committee, I’ve witness the amount of time and effort various people have put in to make this event a success. Many people came to help set up for the event. People were making table decorations, hanging up lights, setting up games for the kids. After everyone ate, all the children went upstairs so they could receive their present and have their picture taken with Santa. The children were so happy when they got their present! Overall, the night was very successful. I can’t wait for it to happen again next year.
